United Airways
So far customer service has been pretty good. Free 2 checked bags! Hooray! Boarding wasn’t too bad either. Free shows also, right now its Mike & Molly, love it! I have to say legroom is pretty good too! I have these really snug boots on so I might take them off is that grouse? Lol. Drinks were all served really fast, but no pretzels or cookies, seriously what the hell?! I’m hungry might turn my computer on and see if there’s internet. Facebook here I come.
Update: was starving the whole flight, no alcohol, no internet.
1/02 which (February 1st)
Well I’m going to try to sum up everything that has happened in the last three days. Let’s start from the end and move to the front. I slept 7 hours last night; you can guess how much I needed it. I was still so tired when I got up. But with 12 hours days the next 5 days are going to be horrible just because I want to talk to mom and dad but at 8pm here, I’ll be tired. So forgive me everyone if you really don’t here from me the next week. Hopefully, once I get to my host family I’ll be able to communicate more! The food at the hotel has been pretty good, to eating much just because I’ve been so tired, I haven’t wanted to eat but sleep, but we really haven’t been able to because of learning.
Warsaw, Poland was so amazing, of course. I was so exhausted; I tried to soak up everything I could. We got off the plane and let me just tell you, I did very well on the long flight. The flight was horrible just because of little things here and there. Okay, so we got off the plane I was so excited that we have arrived. So first went through so exciting!!! It didn’t really show up but it’s still there. Then my up but it’s still there. Then my little group of friends got money just for the day. Then we all got the idea to go to “old town” Warsaw. So gorgeous! It was fun riding the bus there because we got to see all the “American stores” there but it took an hour because of all the stops. I think eighteen total stops. It was awesome. So we got off at old town and walked around for after 15 minutes. We were all numb from the cold and we tried to find a place where it was warm and very authentic. So we found an “Irish pub” but it served all Polish food only. Polish food and beer were pretty expensive. But this place was perfect we sat in an awesome wood booth and just drank and ate off everyone’s plate and was there for three hours then we pretty much ran to the bus stop because it was so cold and rode back it was so pretty at night.
- Side note, Honey in Georgia is strong! Love it!
Trying to get the right word for “coffee” from the money exchange lady was very hard. She finally understood and apologized several times. No free wifi in the 3 airports I had passed through. Thank goodness for good company and the Kindle.
So the first day of orientation was brutal, I had not slept in 3 days and had so much going on and was starving and just wanted to go to sleep. So I didn’t go to sleep till 8pm that night and went straight to sleep. For 7 hours of sleep, I know! Today has been pretty good language class was really good, the teacher was very slow and made an effort of teaching all the other classes have been repetitive and boring so hopefully tonight I hope to hang-out with everyone tonight!
